Here in Singapore, Lancer GLX comes only in 1.6L and 1.8L Turbo (Auto transmission only). Naturally, I got the cheaper 1.6L Manual version.
However, a stock 1.6L has only 106bhp (actually an actual dyno on the stock car is only 85bhp!! :( pretty disappointing.) Swapping a more powerful engine warrants a heavy impound. So that left me with little options to make my car alittle smoother and more street worthy.
So here's what I'd done.

Complete with Damd front and rear bumpers, side skirts, 17" sport rims and Evo 9 spoiler. Currently tuned to 0.7 bar boost and upped the power to almost 190bhp. Century sprint is about 7 secs. Not supremely fast or powerful but more or less makes driving alot more fun and enjoyable.

Recently just installed an evo-vented carbon fibre bonnet to reduce weight and enhance engine cooling. Not really going for the Evo look but there aren't other choices for a vented CF bonnet. Major mods included:

- Front strut bar, Rear strut bar, Undercarriage 4-point strut bar
- Port & polish
- Lightened flywheel
- Exedy 3Pucks Single Plate Clutch
- Sebring freeflow muffler
- TD04 turbocharger with turbo header & 4xinjectors
- Apexi Turbo timer, black edition
- Walbro fuel pump & Greddy fuel regulator c/w gauge
- Greddy BOV
- Dastek Unichip Q piggyback
- Custom intercooler and GDL oil cooler
- Short shifter with custom gear knob
- Prosport gauges
- VTTR 6 pot calipers and slotted rotors
- 17" Advan RS Bronze Sport Rims with Eagle F1 tires
- Ralliart leather bucket seats

Future Mods:
- Suspensions
- Low comp pistons

Just installed a carbon fibre bonnet. Not exactly going for an Evo look but there aren't any other CF vented bonnets in Singapore. Anyway, this bonnet doesn't feel as hot as my previous one and is lighter by almost 10kg.

Looks like it is coming along great. Have you thought about doing black housing tails?
