9/09/09 - Been awhile since i've updated. Well the Motor and everything is in. Its running on 5 PSI of boost and running well. Had to swap the head again. Old GSR head was not sealing right on the cam seal. Thew on a B18C head. Works great! ON the 19th of Sept it'll hit the dyno. Cant wait.. Stay posted
8/13/09 - Going to order my Fuel Injectors and Map sensor from Fighters. Order my Ebay FMIC kit (IMO Ebay kits are better. Thicker piping. And thinking about getting the HKS SSQV BOV for this setup. Works well with low boost. Tell me what you think
8/9/09 - Haven't updated awhile. New news is that the motor is in, Running on factory Fuel Pump and Injectors. Just going to break in the motor. All i have to buy is the Map sensor, FMIC kit, Fuel Injectors, and Fuel pump. Get those installed and it'll be ready for Dyno!!
7/29/09 - The motor is finally being put together. Should be done in 2 days if that. But wont be able to fire it up untill the 15th since i still have to order 550cc Injectors and the walbro 255 LPH Fuel pump. Almost done!! Cant wait till Dyno day sometime end of Aug/ Early Sept!!
7/19/09 - Block is in the machine shop. Getting bored out to each individual piston size. Waiting for that to be done then reassembly of the motor will be initiated. Once completed with that and installs of electronics. It'll take a nice 1 hr drive to Crestveiw for a dyno run and tuned with Inovations Datalogger
7/08/09 - Well, I'm just waiting on my pistons. The shop I ordered them don't carry them, how Effing convenient, and Weisco Doesn't have any on hand!!! So backordered till the 10th. Takes about a week to come to my house. So around Next friday. Bought few more things to add. I need to get a wide band O2.
6/30/09 - Just ordered my Wiseco Pistons and Boost controller. I think that waste gate will open up at 6 PSI which isn't good for my setup. I know i'll need atleast 9 PSI to make 300 WHP. Keep ya updated. Also my Block is now in shop for Boring and Honing. Bore 20 Over
6/23/09 - We ended up taking off the Head and realizing that the pistons were really bad with the rings too. Took off the Pan, crank, oil pump, and Rods N Pistons. Rods were bad shape and the main bearings are going bad and the rod bearings going bad too. I'm getting new Wesico Pistons, Eagle Rods, and Forged aluminum Girdle. Trying to find out what Compression I should go with. Going to Order my FMIC since my Kit didn't come with one and also a BOV. I still don't know what I want.
6/04/09 - I just bought my LS/VTEC kit from Golden Eagle and thats what they're waiting on. We were talking about the numbers it should make. Hopefully the waste gate on that turbo doesn't open up till 9 psi. If the turbo is at 9 PSI he knows that i'll make 300+ FWHP. Pretty happy about those numbers. Cant wait
5/28/09- Talked to my friend today. Right now he's building the head and prepping up my LS motor. He said that he doesnt have much time to work on it but i dont care. Im not driving it yet. haha Hopefully he'll be done soon still have lots of work to do on my EJ8
