I bought her as a Christmas/birthday present for myself, and with money I collected to help the guy I was living with out. BUT he kicked me out of the apartment, so I bought the 260z. What better way to mend a broken heart but with another car?

It will be awhile before I start on the body of this one. Right now she needs a new battery, ignition column, and new master cylinder. Thats All that I know for sure. I plan on making her the widebody style, so that means I will be making the kit for her. That should be oodles of fun...right?

The Z was finally moved from point A to point B...along the way one of the guys foot was run over, 2 of my knees were bruised from falling on a ramp while pushing the car up hill.Then I was hanging half way out of car while it was rolling on the trailer, trying to reach in and grab the e-brake. Yes my pride was damaged, and the guys enjoyed a good laugh while they watched this with out offering to help. Dad knows about the z, but my mommy doesnt. Shes going to kill me when she finds i have bought another car!!

The master cylinder has been replaced....

now on to the ignition....

I just got it back...and about to head down to the shop for a few min to drop it in..and hopefully she will crank on up...

and....she didnt crank, I got a shortage in the wiring somewhere....

That could have been bad

AHH so the frame is "holy" but not as bad as my 280zx frame...is! AANNDDD DAM!! that car is SOLID bondo! I will have my work cut out for me when i start. So then the next question, strip? sandbast? or just go all out and dip her?!

So I have been updated that I do not need a wire harness...its just the short..the one i had pointed out when i sent her up the way to the shop!!!

I think what I am gonna have to do is kidnap my car back and fix the wiring myself! My baby is sitting outside in the heat and is having rust bubbles pop up under her inch think of bondo and paint!

This is stressing me!

Shes outside in the rain, the window rolls up all but 1/2 inch of the way.

and its the electrical part of the ignition thats messed up!! I sure love being right!! Maybe the guys should start listening to me!!

THE SWITCH OUT AGAIN!! WTF?!!
I take it back to the locksmith... "its gonna cost u 20$ and we only have a 30 day guarantee" your a fucking locksmith and you only expect that your work will last 30 days? thats just pathetic. I had them do the lock like 4 months ago and the key has only been used under 20 times?????!

No here is the best part...

"sometimes these go out that often (every 4 months). I fixed it so you would be able to turn the car on. But it may (will) go out soon and therefore you will need to bring it back up here to fix! If you get a new one you will have the same problems."

But for better news she drives, the brakes dont work, that made for a stressful backing experience in the parking lot with people and other cars very close to me. But i didnt hit anything! Squealed a few tires, but all was good. I bought a new battery for her, shes starts almost nicely, have to use the "spray can start" method!

when shes running she sounds very solid, and screams to be driven!

So i rigged up the 260z ignition i riped out of a 78 280z... and it didnt fit.... so i shoved some wire into it to fix it so it would stay... and i turned the ignition....and the battery was dead.. THE ONE I JUST BOUGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hopefully it was just something that was left on in the car.. and not another electrical problem......

So i have some free time at the shop, and decide to play with the zs and get them started. I get to my 260

Problem A.. Something is killing my battery,

Problem B.. Her fuel pump aint happy!

and the only person she will start for is me!! Oh no, I have another christine on my hands!!

SO i got the 260 running, drove her up and down the road!! heheheh fun.  At first her carbs didnt want to kick in.........BUt after they did it sounded lovely, then again if she made sounds like a wood chipper it would still be heavn to me.............

Parked her for a day, killed my battery.....again!!

Charged battery,

................battery died

.......................charged again

Car has trouble starting....because one of the wires that goes to ignition is lose.

              *about shocked self with battery*

Found out what was killing the battery, and I will not live this one down. (this is embarassing)

2nd reason I never turned the lights off on my car...........
