---> she's been mine for almost a year.(2007) When i got this Monte it was in need of a tune up and good cleaning. She wasn't running until we got a new distributer cap. had to readjust the timing, and cleaned the carb next thing was the kickdown linkage wasn't engaging. and we were in need for new choke pull-offs there was alot of loose and loss bolts that needed addressed, including exhaust manifolds on the true duals now she doesn't smoke or drip any fluids, (she was leaking alot of oil due to a loose oil filter thanks to the local jiffylube shyteheads. leaking right on the duals :/ causing alot of smoke! I don't know what there problem is, but rest assured we don't go there no mo...
getty-up is not a problem with the swapped '69 350 (block #s) (more on page 3 ) that was put in by the p/o its a rebuilt 2 bolt main 4 barrel originally with a 255hp index rating, i believe i have the 2.29 open rear end but thats soon to change as the weather gets better and one becomes available.
when she got tuned and it became evident no more engine work was necessary i went ahead and redid the interior, with new carpet headliner, door inserts, covered dash, bucket seats, led lights and custom gauges. also did an headlight upgrade with the h4 xenon's.
i plan on swapping the rearend and possibly transmission. along with some new bilsteins shocks all the way around.
i fixed some exhaust leaks as well and i plan on changin some things out and applying some undercoating (the old stuff is flakin off) and if everything is still looking good get her ready for paint and invest in some rims prolly no bigger than 20"s i don't want to lose any turning performance. and i like to drive with some tire. planning on a carputer with gps and wireless so i'm gonna need to fabricate a monitor into the mix too. but for now i got the laptop hooked into my aux input which is alot better than the fm transmitters i've used. check out my pics and video leave some feedback in the guestbook and have a good one...

I'm trying to keep it stock looking.  for the sleeper look, "chrome don't get you home" but forged internals help.  I'd like to score a couple stock air cleaners and make a dual snorkel set up for a little cold forced air,  in due time...

new h4 xenon's in the diamond housing, they look good!

got her on an
Ethanol Blend diet

here go a shot of the guages those are 7 c o l o r              c h a n g i ng   led lights in there... you can see the silhouette of the CL behind the jumpman but i think i should darken that up to make it more visible.  i'm always working new themes.  I'm an Artist and this Monte is my canvas

headlight accents that came with the H4 xenons. this was the  blue coated halogen 194's when they were new. but i'm deciding weather to get blue or white led replacements

the blue halogen 194 bulbs that came with the diamond headlights started to fade into a greenish color so i upgraded to blue leds.
side by side of the old and new

notice the relocation of the HVAC controls , this makes it so when the screen folds out it doesn't cover up the Hvac, hence better function and engineering. its powder coated now but we're still working on it, more pics soon...

heres another glimpse of my custom guages , i'm working on the finishing touches to make these available for other enthusiast too.

          AC retrofited! R-134A

pulling vacum on the AC system, boiling out all the moisture at about 29.5 inches of vacum Hg iz good and alot better than they use to do it. pulled up to 30 with a venturi style pump.  I used the pictured High Mileage R-134a which is suppose to include a compressor oil compatible with both pag and ester .  The R-134a instead of R-12 becuase its better for the enviroment

and the results, as the pic below shows a CHiLLY 40 degrees!     Cha ching!

i was glad to see there was no rust on the floor boards, just a lil dirty. in nebraska we use salt and gravel for icey roads. in parts of Colorado they use a non-corrosive soy bean product bought fromNebraska ? go figure?

i was able to pull the sound deadener off the factory gray carpet and lay it down underneath the new porsche black.

trunk leds, trunk inserts, and a lil bump n da trunk. i'm gonna find a more permanent resting place for them. i like having a trunk, and the box is taking up too much room for me.

you can see the baby blue 1 1/4" sway bar and control arms i installed with the new polyurethane bushings to  stiffen up the suspension and prevent body roll

no dome light cover so i had to improvise.  the 7 color led adds even more flavor.
