1979 Chevrolet C-10 with Scottsdale Trim and a 8ft bed!
I purchased this chevy c10 from my grandfather. He has upgraded to a 1989 chevy k1500. This truck was an original 350 Diesel. My grandfather was given this truck for free, he invested $2600 in it 10 years ago. It was really in bad shape when he got it. He replaced both front fenders, inner fenders, the doors, rocker panels, cab corners, and both bed sides also were replaced. Everything else that was repairable was repaired. This was an automatic from the factory. My grandfather dropped a 1968 Pontiac Firebird 250 engine in her, and converted her to a granny tranny-stick 3 speed with granny low gear. Still has for now the original 3.07 geared 10 blot rear end. This was the vehicle that I learned stick shift on and I have always wanted it ever since he gave me the first ride in it when I was 8 years old. I am now 19. I had the Bronco-P9 but hated the gas milage. Ok I'm getting sidetracked again. The day I drove this to my house, December 2007, I noticed things needed to be repaired and upgraded BAD!!! I got home and found out that I had been driving for 45 minutes without a left headlight! So the next day I looked for one to match it and coundn't find a match, SO CONVERSION TIME!!! Now it has 7" APC headlights and Silvania Silver Star ULTRAS, what a HUGE improvement they make!!! I only paid $7 for the set on clearence at Advance and then $50 for the bulbs but they are well worth it. I bought them for my Mustang initially, but I needed them, so I'll buy new ones later. I had to get new wipers, (dollar store wipers were installed-they DON'T WORK!!!) so I ran to Advance to get them. I only got 1 street away before someone flashed their lights at me!!! All I could do was laugh! Yes, they are out of adjustment but the headlights are 50 times as brighter than the old single halogen headlights! Since then, the truck has gotten white face gauges, blue leds in the dash, new taillights, a new gille, new headlight trim rings, an engine paint job, l.e.d.s in the front and rear lights, and too much more to list. Also I removed the black overspray from the lower grill trim piece.
FUTURE MODS:
-2-3" Cowl induction hood
-HUGE SUSPENSION/BODY Lift
-a 4X4 conversion-83 k10 frame
-new bed base-wrong bed sides on it now and some supports are rotted away-have a new bed just needs minor damage repair and a paint job
-complete paint job and cab corners and supports
-roll pan-rear or a 10" step bumper
-trailer hitch mounted to frame not bumper ---class 4
-maybe a suicide door kit
-install speakers again---removed them at the moment
-many more mods!!!

UPDATE:-05/15/08
Just bought a 1983 Chevy K10 frame, a racerback, and a front visor. Yup I'm goin to 4x4!
I'll post picts of that one soon.
Just had my single exhaust fall off leaving a car show this past Sunday. Just bought headers for the 250 and summit racing mufflers. Bought 2 cutouts as well from a friend. I had to modify the one header (front) a little, and the rear one just slipped on perfectly! Also, thanks to Advanced Auto Part's Clearence Sales picked up pedal covers-2 sets for $15!!! Believe me, you NEED them. My feet don't slip off the pedals at all when they are wet. They improved the look and fuctionality, and are cheap. What more could I ask for???
HERE ARE SOME FRAME PICTURES:
The bed came off a CUCV, with 2,000 miles. It is completly rust free!!! $150, and it was mine!!!
The tow bar is going to go in the bed or a bed on a chevy truck bed/trailer.--idea's still in the air.
ENJOY AND CHECK BACK AGAIN!!!
