Dyno tuning at Canyon Racer Motorsports in Mission Viejo. Their Dyno Dynamics is key to tuning because of the running load feature, which allows us to tune each cell in the map.

Here is the engine installed and in running condition. We have a heat reflective panel over the coils.

The intercooler mount required fabrication of a custom bracket, and also why we went with the E46 M3 style valance and bumber cover.

This is the upgraded oil cooler, which sits right behind the BMW trademark kidney grills.

The fire bottle and hard lines. The bottle was mounted in this fashion so we can install a passenger seat for instruction.

Paul did a great job of cleaning up the wiring for the ECU and custom terminal blocks. You can also see the fire system pull and custom gauge panel.

Our Cobra Sebring S kevlar seat and Schroth HANS ready harness. We selected red belts to make them easier to see in case of emergency.

E30CrackHead... We removed an M20 to install the turbo M42. That decision was based on the class rules of BMW Car Club of America Club Racing. In the Modified class, cars are classed based on displacement and FI carries a 1.5X modifier. In order to compete in the under 3 liter class with a turbo, we needed to be under 2.0 liter with a turbo. A 1.8 liter M42 fits the bill well.
