Welcome to my CarDomain Page!

Thanks for visiting my ride page. First, I'll tell you a little bit about my ride page format. I originally set out to design a page as user friendly as possible, and while it may have been that way at one time, it's getting kind of sloppy now.

One of these days, when I have nothing better to do, I might have to fix it up a bit. But until then: here is how my page is layed out:

When I update my page, I first put the information on the top of the first page, as you can see below. I like to have the last few updates on the first page, so you visiters can see whats been happening. After awhile, the news gets old, and I take it off the front page. But fear not, I also copy and paste the updates onto page eight . There, you can see almost all the somewhat - kinda major updates I've made! Uh, one thing, though... Start from the bottom if you want to see it in chronological order! I realize this is one of the hideous mistakes I've made while making my page, and will fix it. Someday. To be honest, I really don't want to have to deal with rearranging all that!

On page two , you'll find all the picture that have to do with the van's exterior. Don't worry, this is fairly well organized. The same is true for page three , which documents the mighty van's interior.

On page four , you'll find my list of future mods to carry out on the van. On page five , you'll find the mods already carried out.

Page six documents all the cool and interesting cars I've spotted in my area.

Page seven is where I put all the fairly irrelevant information and pictures, such as a few sketches of mine, and stuff I got from my visit to the National Corvette Museum. And of course, page eight is the update history page.

Please enjoy my ride page! I'll get around to fixing it soon!

Latest Update -   10-19-08 - More late updates. Here are some pics of the van from awhile ago that I took in a gravel lot. The water reflection shots are pretty cool. I was in a hurry while I took these pics though, so some of them aren't as good as they could be. I wish I would of had more time to play around...

Also, I tried to do a few little artsy photos of the wheel turning. They didn't work.

A few minutes after that photoshoot, we arrived at our destination, and happened to park next to this C3 Corvette. I found it kind of interesting that it had wheels from an '82 collectors edition 'Vette when it wasn't an '82 model. Also, there is a nice E34 BMW 5-Series near where I took these pics. I'll try to get pics of it as soon as I can but, well, that's kind of hard when its two hours away from my house. Here are the pics of the 'Vette:

10-18-08 - I suppose it's about time to post another round of updates. I'm still really far behind on updating my ride page, so please just bear with me.

Awhile ago I was able to get some clear pictures of the rearend of that C2 Corvette in town. Here they are:

a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager

a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager

a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager

On the same trip I also was able to catch this glimpse of a Camaro in town. It's been tucked away in this yard for as long as I can remember...

10-17-08 -3,006 hits on my ride page! Thanks for visiting!

10-4-08 - Wow. I haven't updated my ride page in a loooong time. I've still be hanging around CarDomain, I've just been to lazy to finally update my page. Until now. So here are the updates that should have been posted a long time ago.

So like two months ago I went on a jaunt into town. And what an exciting jaunt it turned out to be. Here are the pictures:

We were driving to our destination, and spotted this Nova pulling into a McDonalds parking lot. We pulled in right behind it, and I managed to take these spy shots.

Here's another parking lot sighting; an awesome Bronco.

a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager

I was real excited when I spotted this beauty for a second time: the '04 Commemorative Edition Zo6! It pulled in right as my mother and I were about to get out of the car, and I expressed my glee and happyness to my mother while the driver got out. The driver of the zo6 was a woman, and she did domething quite unexpected after she got out... She wiped it down! She actually got out a cloth and started wiping the car. She must have circled it at least three times! I just sat there in disbeleif, and then I realized I could be taking pictures. Here they are:

a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager

After she was finished, she picked up her bags and walked into the mall. I was still in disbeleif. I took these before I went inside:

a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager

I finished my shopping in record time so I could get back outside and take some better pics of the car. And if you check the liscense plate, it is indeed the same car I spotted awhile ago. Heres what I got:

As I was snapping pictures, this mustang convertable passed by. I snapped some pictures as it drove off:

a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager

Right as the Mustang drove off, a nice white Porsche Boxter drove past. I was giggling like a school girl at this point, and I took these ninja shots as it turned at the intersection and drove away. Since this first sighting, I've seen this car around town at least once. Hopefully it gets put away for the winter.

a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager

I assured my annoyed mother waiting in the car (you can see her new car, a blue Status, in some of these pics) that I was almost finished, and I went back to taking pictures of the 'Vette. At this point, I was starting to get worryed about mall security wondering what a teenager is doing taking pictures of a Corvette, so I kinda hurried.

As I exited the mall parking lot, I saw this BMW Z4. Que giggling like a schoolgirl.

a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager

While driving between destinations, I spotted a gorgeous yellow first gen Viper. I whipped out the camera with my ninja like skills, but I couldn't get a picture. I had already missed an oppurtunity to take a picture of a red C4 ZR1 in about the same area. I wasn't happy.

a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager

Here is a horrible picture of a nice BMW e30 for sale at a small car dealership. I love these cars. So much. Here's the pic, the e30 is on the far left side:

a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager

Here's a "ninja" pic one of the nice cars you can find just sitting there in town. There is a nice Impala convertable near this one that I want to go back and phototgraph one of these days...

a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager

I payed a visit to my favorite car dealership in town, and snapped these pics. I love this place so much.

From the back, its pretty unassuming. There's a BMW 3-series convertable, a Saab convertable and an old Mercedes (?) sedan. Also, notice the red Porsche on the righ tside. You can barely taste what there is to come on the other side, however.

a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager

A driveby pic of the Saab and 3-Series convertables:

a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager

I made an effort to get a picture of the window, and if you look carefully, you'll see why. Yep, that's a Ferrari looking out the window. It's been there for as long as I can remember. The window is being gaurded by a Mercedes M class SUV and a BMW 7 series.

a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager

Heres a pic towards the front of the dealership. That gorgeous yellow Porsche is the focus of the picture, but you can also see the front of a Mercedes E-Class and you can kindof see the Ferrari in the window. And, well, there's a GMC there, too.

a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager

The cars for sale: Theres a nice BMW Z3 at the tip of the triange, with a C3 Corvette to it's right, followed by an Audi and the Mercede's E-Class you can see in the previous pic. Behind the Z3 are two Porsches (that dark blue one right behind the Z3 is beautiful!) for sure, maybe three, and a tiny glimpse of a nice BMW 8-Series.

a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager

Keep in mind that I took all these pictures while moving with the flow of traffic, and while stopped at a stop light. Sorry I couldn't take better ones.

Here's one I took through the back window as we drove off:

a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager

But my day of fun wasn't over yet. We had to get gas, and so did a nice C5 Corvette. This car left an amazing exhaust note as it pulled onto the road and drove off...

a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager

And finally, the last pic of the day was this glimpse of a nice old car at a house near the highway. You can kind of see it...

8-25-08 - Because of the recent ride page updates, I can now upload imgaes that used to be too big. Here are three pics of a Camaro I spotted at a bluegrass festival on 7-4-07. Yes, another bluegrass fstival. Eh... Don't ask...

a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager

a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager

I finally got around to photographing an awesome Pontic GTO resting near (within walking distance) my house. This car actually shows signs of being worked on, although it hasn't moved in about a year. It used to rest peacefully inside a shed, but was moved out into the yard to make room in the shed for farm equipment. Its also got an awesome old truck resting near it. But thats in a bit (a lot) worse shape than the Goat.

The hood was cracked open, so I tried to take a few engine pics. They aren't that good, but I was making sure I didn't touch the car. And, as you can see, all my attempts to photograph the interior were failures.

Check out the pictures; here they are in the order that I took them in. And there are... A few of them...

8-22-08 -More car sightings! I've made it a habit to bring a camera with me as often as possible when we go on drives. A few days ago (on the 20th, I beleive) I spotted a C4 Corvette pulling out of a conveniance store, and took a few pics:

a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager

a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager

Then, I found this cool Ford outside a garage:

a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager

a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager

I saw a super-cool Pontiac GTO, and tried to take a picture. Sadly, I had no time to get the camera in focus, so this is the result:

a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager

On the way home, I tryed to take a picture of the awesome C2 Corvette near a local garage, but an ingnorant Dodge Ram blocked it. Here's a tiny glipse of the rear end:

a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager

That was the end of my picture taking for that day. Today (8-22) however, I was able to take a picture of an awesome Plymouth Road Runner (or GTX) somewhat close to where I live. I wanted to take more pictures, but the owner was outside. And it probobly would be better if he didn't see passerby photographing his cars...

In the picture, you can see a second Road Runner (or GTX), but it's just a body shell. I would have taken a picture of it, but as I just said, I didn't want the owner to see me snapping pictures. Also, see the grille trim on the hood of the Ford pickup?

a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager

8-17-08 -Yesterday, my family and I went to a bluegrass festival. Yes... Bluegrass... But I got some pictures. On the way there, I took a quick picture of that Hudson and the BMW e30. As you can see in the picture, the Hudson got new whitewalls!

a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager

I also spotted a C2 Corvette near by! It has a cool white and orange custom paint job, and doesn't appear to be in that bad of shape. Of course, I only caught a glimpse...

I took two pictures of my favorite car dealer in my area. It specializes in (somewhat) exotic cars, and you can always see a few nice cars when you pass by. Its pretty far out of the way on our normal commute in and out of the city, so its kind of hard for me to get good pictures.

In the first picture, you can see a Lexus, a Porsche, a Corvette, and that red car next to the 'Vette is an M3. In the second picture there's a Porsche Boxter with a C3 Corvette behind it, a Volkswagen, a BMW X3 (?) and a Mercedes E-Class. Do I spy the taillight of a Cadillac next to the Mercedes? I just missed getting a picture of a nice old school air cooled Porsche, and when you pass by the other  on the other side of the building, there is a Ferrari 308 looking at you through a window. I love this place.

a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager  a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager

When we got to the bluegrass festival, I was hoping I would come across a few nice cars to photograph. I wasn't disappointed, and spotted this Mustang from across the fest grounds:

a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager

As soon as I got a chance, I walked over there to admire it and take a bunch of pictures; of course, being careful not to touch it.

I was casually taking pictures, and I got out of the way of a girl riding her bike. As I took this picture, she turned and yelled, "68 Mustang Convertable!" I stood there, speechless, and watched as she rode away.

a_bengals_fan's 1995 Plymouth Voyager

8-8-08 - Here's a sketch I drew two days ago, of an '08 Charger. When I set out to draw it, I orriginally planned to design my version of a Charger cop car.

I took a few pictures after I finished the body. In one picture, I compared the sketch to the picture I used for reference.

After I drew the body, I decided I didn't want to design a cop car. I have no idea why. I decided to integrate the rear wing into the body to get a cleaner look (and to halt all use of the trunk...) Perhaps, since this is a show car, I could delete the trunk all together, and instead make use of a slide out amp rack... I'm starting to get ideas... I might have to do a few more detailed renderings. I also added a cool tail stripe to the rear, kind of like the stripe on a '69 Daytona . I shaved the trim and door handles, and designed a fairly simple front bumper. Finally, I drew in a set of Torq Thrust wheels, and if you look carefully, disk brakes all around. It's pretty cool. I never realized how much I liked this body until now...

I might draw some other renderings of this one... One of these days. Who knows, some of them might even be in color.

8-6-08 -I'm finally making an update on time. Today, I when on yet another jaunt into town, and returned fairly pleased with the pictures I collected. First, I snapped a super blurry picture of a BMW e30 in front of a local garage. I got a picture of it that was a little better on the ride home. I spotted two other e30's on the trip. I love those little cars...

In town, I spotted a Jaguar at an intersection, so I took two quick pictures:

One of my main objectives, if you will, for the trip was to take a good picture of the M3. That didn't happen. However, I snapped what might be the best pic I've taken of it so far. Sadly, my previous finding of a huge gash along the drivers side proved to be true, as you can see in the picture.

We did what we came for, and when we got into the car, I saw a Porsche had parked close to us. I snapped two pictures as we drove off.

Usually, I like to take pictures of the van with it's parking lot neighbors, but *sob* we weren't in the van. We were in the new car *sob*.

8-6-08 - Yes. My parents bought a new car: a minty fresh 2006 Dodge Stratus that excels everywhere that the van fails. And that is a lot of excellence. To make room for the new garage occupant, my parents decided to get rid of my brother's pick-em-up-truck.

The truck, a beautiful (well, it's beautiful underneath all that rust) special-order blue two-tone 1985 S-10, had served the family well, and had been the most reliable vehicle in the family for the last 33 years. However, it's condition was deteriorating fast, and after the steering locked up, my pops began to worry that it might fail in other ways, and decided that it wouldn't be very cool to poor money into it, only to have it leave my brother stranded somewhere.

I didn't think it deserved to be sold, and I fought it to the very end. I suggested parking it out behind the shed, and leaving it there to rest in peace, but sadly, my pleas to save the truck fell upon deaf ears. By some odd twist of fate, the new car dealer actually agreed to take the truck, and my parents returned home with a shiny new car.

Rest In Peace...

7-30-08 - A few days ago, the van developed a problem with the door. It wouldn't close all the way. My pops whipped out the tools and had it fixed easily, but it may have started a chain reaction that might eventually lead to the van's downfall...

The faulty door brought some other small problems to my father's attention, such as faulty A/C that we've all been forced to put up with, and a worn left rear tire. He decided to take he van to a shop to fix the problems quickly.

Conveniently, my brother's truck's steering decided to lock up at the same time the van's door decided not to latch; requiring more work. All this automotive work got my pops thinking about buying a new car. My parents have been pondering it for awhile now, and he van and truck problems must have been the final straw. They bought a new car. Today. (Que dramatic music)

I'll be sure to get more photos up soon!

Hello, and welcome to my CarDomain page.

This page is dedicated to my families 1995 Plymouth Grand Voyager SE Rallye. This is not my van, but it will probably be the vehicle I end up inheriting when I decide that I had had enough of riding the bus to school. I know what your thinking: What could be cooler than having a Voyager for your first car? As soon as I take possession of this monster, I have a list of modifications to be carried out (mainly interior and audio work).

But until then, the Voyager is the van of choice for family vacations, and all that time in the back seat has left a small trace of sentimentality for the van. Most of the time, this van gets driven back and forth to work and on errands by my mother, who sadly is quite hard on her vehicles. Also, due to the sorta-kinda-maybe-brutal winters here in Wisconsin, there is some rust developing. And thats no fun.

I grew up loving cars from a young age, although I'm not quite sure why, being raised by a tractor enthusiast and a woman who is quite hard on her vehicles. However, even if I was raised by die-hard NASCAR enthusiasts, I'm not sure if my love of cars could be any stronger.

My parents have fond memories of driving down when I was very young, while I sat in the passenger seat and named every car that passed.

"Dodge Intrepid...

Thats a Buick of some sort...

Whoa! A Camaro! Ma, did you see that?!"

When I was very young I developed a love for the 1994-2001 era Dodge Ram trucks, and I still have a soft spot for them today. Also, I developed a love for what I still think is the best sports car in the world: the Chevrolet Corvette.

Gotta support the troops. They're the ones risking (and giving) their lives to give us the freedom we take for granted. Thanks!

Please, remember to rate this van, and leave a pleasant message in the guest book.

Hello, Sorry to hear your a Bengals fan. I too have suffered many years due to the same terriable problem. Maybe someday the Bengals will be awesome once more, but I have a feeling that both you and I will have our rides fully customized and restored before that happens. Nice car photos! Take care, Jeff

Hey man, I was sifting through some old guestblog posts and found your story about seeing the Eagle on blocks. Cool beans, thanks for passing that along! I hope it doesn't suffer a terrible fate in the end...
