Like many of my other cars, all of which are linked below, this is a slow work in progress as I am working on minimum wage.
--*Update 01/14/08*--
I have called the DMV to get ahold of the title, it is proving to be a uphill battle on this one. Hopefully I can get it resolved soon.
--*Update 01/15/08*--
Called the last registered owner and are settign up a date to aquire the title from the the current holder tomorrow :D. I am not getting my hopes up though I know my luck with things :P.
(continued)
I found out that the car's title is being held on LOAN from a dealer... yay... hopefully this won't be too bad.
--*Update 01/17/08*--
WOOT!!!~ Got the registered car and I am getting the title here soon enough, it was a private loan so there was no interest. Looks like the damage is very minimal it didn't get past the plug valley, I will get a photo of the plug extenders after I get my Camera back.
--*Update 01/21/08*--
Damage is deffinatly small just burned up the plus and the wires, but I am working on getting those and some valve cover gaskets.
--*Update 02/26/2008*--
The car runs, got a set of plugs, wires, vavle cover gaskets, and the plug valley gasket from a friend with a MR2, and installed them this morning. She then was driven to my house where I continued to work on her. I also did some sanding/painting work on the plug vally cap. Only problem she lays down a smoke screen where ever I go.
--*Update 04/10/2009*--
Well yet another long passing between updates but Ihave big news this time. The block for the corolla is going in to be cleaned decked and bored .20 over. after getting it running the car continued to blast it's own smoke trail and eventually started blowing oil out of the exhaust. So I am rebuilding the block while a the same friend with the MR2 rebuilds the head. I will add pics of the cylinder scoring and butsted pistons i pulledfrom the block to page 5.
--*Update 04/29/2009*--
Okay so about 2 weeks ago I got the block back from the local NAPA machine shop, It is sexy everything is clean, the deck, luckly, is still level and didn't need shaving. I then deceded to paint the block, vlave covers and plug valley cap to properly match the fact this 4A-G is a Blue Top. The head, cams, and crank however all need work done before Ican hear any nice exhaust sound from her.
