This is the almost completed 1969 bug that I started over a year ago as a restore project. I am finally able to show off the fruits of my labors....This project has been quite the learning experience for me. I have learned that I probably wont do this again in my life-time. Who would of thought it would be so much work....lol I have learned that if anything can go wrong it Will, I have learned that after market parts suck, And I have learned that I really dislike sanding, sanding, sanding for ever I was sanding....still need to wet sand to achieve the shiny glossy flawless finish....but I am waiting until the summer time... And yes the running boards are not on yet. I still have to drill out every single bolt that held those things on the car...so yes I am procrastinating...

can you find the spot that didnt get finished yet? My friend started to sand with the wrong paper so I have to touch up the plate over hang thing...good thing I got the color put into a spray can for touch ups
