Hi everyone, I know you may have seen a few before but here is my turbo Vitara project. I've been at it for about 3 months now and decided to post my progress here.
I'll be updating pretty regularly so if you're interested, check back and see how it's goin.

boostedzook's 1997 Suzuki VitaraThis was taken mid 2006, it's when I relocated my charcoal canister. Fits in this space well and got the ugly thing out of my engine bay.

boostedzook's 1997 Suzuki VitaraMounted up a couple of 10" thermo's. I also hooked up an electric water pump, you can see in the pic that the mechanical water pump isn't driven anymore and I also took the impeller out of it aswell to avoid any restriction.

boostedzook's 1997 Suzuki VitaraMounted the intercooler much the same as the thermo's, the cooler itself is a great fit just behind the grill. I used swaybar bushes to allow a little movement.

boostedzook's 1997 Suzuki VitaraLeft as much room as possible to try and avoid heat soak.

boostedzook's 1997 Suzuki VitaraHere is the manifold tacked up. I used buttweld fittings or 'steam pipe' to create the runners. A mate of mine owns a laser cutting business, he cut up the flanges for me.

boostedzook's 1997 Suzuki VitaraNearly finished. Now I know that there are probably a lot of people out there that could do a much better job, but for a first attempt, i'm pretty stoked with it.

boostedzook's 1997 Suzuki VitaraA finished manifold, an Exedy clutch and a T25 turbo on a cute little zooky motor!

boostedzook's 1997 Suzuki VitaraWon't stay cute for long I hope!

boostedzook's 1997 Suzuki VitaraHere is the oil cooler on the right.

boostedzook's 1997 Suzuki VitaraThis is the zook just before I took the motor out, as you can see i've hacked up the bumper and grill to get as much airflow as possible.

boostedzook's 1997 Suzuki VitaraI took the dash out to allow better access to the computer wiring and sort of got sidetracked by convincing myself into having a crack at trimming the dash. Most of the interior has the same black suede so hopefully it comes up good!

boostedzook's 1997 Suzuki VitaraThis pic was taken on the 07/01/2008. Its only bolted in, not much else attached as yet but i'm starting to get excited.

boostedzook's 1997 Suzuki VitaraBig day today. Here i'd already done a few mods to the downpipe, but other than that it's a 3" stainless exhaust for a 180sx, minus the tail section with the cannon. However, that didn't last long.....

boostedzook's 1997 Suzuki VitaraNow it's a 3" stainless exhaust to suit a Vitara. It's only tacked up, i'll be welding it up tomorrow.

boostedzook's 1997 Suzuki VitaraI put the rad and intercooler back in and fitted the intake pipe. Starting to look pretty tough in there. This is the last pic from the 08/01/2008.

Hey, zook still going strong? got a few more questions if you could help me out. did you do any internal engine mods? running standard injectors? what ecu did you put in? I just picked up a calmini lsd for mine and the donuts are crazy now. Thanks in advance. Cheers, Nick

Hey dude I love what youve done with your zook.. Im putting my 95 vit in next monday to get a manifold made up for a t24 garrett turbo.. bit of a pain in the ass as its my only car but oh well.. planning to do a lot my self intake piping oil send return lines ect although im not planning on upgrading my cpu the guy at the place rekons it should be fine.. hmm ill see how i go few questions for ya though if you dont mind..
1) Did you run the oil send for the turbo from the pressure switch and then back to the sump?
2)Did you try running the turbo with the existing ecu? which ecu did u end purchasing?

dude great work! the only detailed post on a turbo vitara i could find around!
