This is my 2000 Corvette that I use for autocross, road trips, the occasional commute, and in 09 (with luck) in the Tire Rack One Lap of America road racing event. Thanks for stopping in for all the great messages!

My wife and I enjoyed the car a lot together before she passed away in 2004 from stomach cancer.  Since her death, I use the car to raise money and awareness for the American Cancer Society and Care and Share Food Bank. Please visit their pages and donate if you like!

As for the mods:
- RMRacing TwinFlow intake
- Crane cam (220/220)
- A&A stage II heads
- Kook headers, X-pipe, and cats
- Borla XR-1 exhaust
- C6 Z06 wheels and tires
- trailer hitch for my "track" wheels/tires
- window tint
- clear Euro taillights
- Engine work and tune by Alex Nelson at Rocky Mountain Corvette, now in Castle Rock, CO.
- The HP figure is based on dyno runs from a C5 that had the cam and heads that I'm using now; I've never had my car dyno'd but that car ran at 400+rwhp without the headers/exhaust setup that I've got. You can do your own figuring for what that means at the crank...15%, 18%, whichever.
- The weight figure is the heaviest weight that Car and Driver lists for a C5 coupe - I'm heavy on options (disk changer, HUD, etc) so I figure go with that.

In the interest of keeping it as a charity car, every dollar I spend modding the car I match to one of the charities above. Plans include adding a camera/roll bar, brake upgrades, installing the T1 control arms I've got in the garage and switching to coilovers. It's a Z51 car and handles pretty well as is, but I'm looking for more grip and adjustability. Plus everyone knows that coilovers are dead sexy! I'm leaning toward Pfadt for the coilovers and adjustable anti-roll bars.

Thanks for stopping in! For a better story of a car teaming up with a charity, please visit Corvettes Conquer Cancer and check out what Ben Labaree is doing to continue his wife's legacy in the battle against cancer. Someday I hope to do as much good for people battling hunger in southern Colorado or for those fighting cancer.

Cheers-
Adam
