hemitommy's 1969 Plymouth GTX1969 Plymouth GTX with 440-4v & auto trans. Other options include AM/FM radio, buckets seats with console, ps, 3.23 rear end, and 11" manual drum brakes. This is your "basic" muscle car with only a few extras. I have restored it back to factory original, except I changed the color from green to orange.hemitommy's 1969 Plymouth GTX

That GTX is sweet! I am finishing up a69 RR. t came to me with a 76 440 6pack. It looked like it had gone off the road at speed & was stopped by wedging itself between 2 trees. It is a post car with an air grabber, factory color was copper, with a black bucket interior It had a New Englad Dragway class champion sticker on the rear pop out side window. A previous owner hacked the accessory holes (the holes the factory left to get easier access to the plugs & covered with removeable rubber access covers Accessed by removing front wheels). The holes were hacked large enough to fit a whole hand in to reach all the plugs with headers installed. The batt. tray & mounting tin was a giant hole with ply wood & bungy chord holding in the batt. I should have replaced the inner fenders but used stainless to patch it all.The 440 was exploded into the lifter valley between #2&4 cyls. The factory 383 727 combo was long gone, so a 68HP2 440 block was used, the iron 915 (400) heads were replaced with alum. Edel. rpm'samong other perf.mods.When I finished the body I painted it Hemi orange replaced the air grabber assy. redid the guage cluster with the factory tach built a street &strip 727 With a B&M kit 3.73's. The interior will be next.New 6 pack carbs on the stock alum. intake, srp pistons ,eagle h-beams etc, but my R/T will get most of my time this year until I get all the int. pieces together,& my wife wants your charger(she has been on me for years to get her a 70 & build it like yours but is content with her 340 dart for now.

Great job on the GTX. It looks sharp. Had a buddy back in the day buy one new. It was the Mopar green with a black top. I remember we trashed it one night in a muddy cornfield. Yes there was beer involved. Checkout my 72 Pontiac when you get a chance. Later, Kenny
