This is a page for a project car that we just bought a little while back. My wife Jen and I are both 38 year old parents of 5 beautiful children. Two are now married. I mention that to to make a point that this will all be done on a low budget and over time. In fact, most of the mods will be custom and I'll be making them myself vs. purchasing more expensive after market parts. Raising a family the size of ours eats up a lot of the funds, you know? Paying for weddings sure doesn't help either. :D
It's a 2001 Stratus R/T Coupe. In a last several months we've added:
Faux Carbon Fiber Door Handles
RAZO Pedals
225/45 ZR18 Sumitomos
Match Painted Motegi Aluminum Wheels
Customized Spectre CAI
Eclipse RT Spoiler
Eclipse RT Fuel Door
Custom Fog Shrouds
Aluminum Mesh Grill Inserts
Kenwood Receiver / CD Head Unit
Moster Cable Wiring
Infinity Speakers
Sony Explode 500w Amp
FlowTech Fart Can
JDM style Headlamps
Garmin Nuvi GPS
...And a really sweet smelling Can-O-Scent!
In the beginning, we started with this...
The "Mopar performance" vinyl lettering on the front quarter panel is brushed aluminum on top of the metallic silver finish. I wanted punch styling, but I also wanted to keep it subtle as with the faux CF handles.
Painted the Calipers and the edges of the rotors Metallic Copper. Now I've painted the center of the existing wheels Metallic Graphite to match the new Fuel door, spoiler, and fog shrouds.
JDM style headlights. I removed the factory headlight assembly, took them completely apart, and painted the interior housing area gloss black (except the reflectors of course). Out of pocket expense is about $12 and a few hours of my time.
In the first photo below you can see where I painted the entire tail light assy & reflector bar have smoked out lenses. I painted them with "Pactra Racing Finish RC294 Tint" Total cost about $10. I liked this for a while but became inspired by a few other cars on Club 2G Stratus and changed the scheme to match the new Spoiler, fog shrouds, and fuel door.

The Aluminum Mesh grill inserts are home made. They were cut from a couple of pieces of aluminum gutter mesh that I bought from Home Depot... Total cost was about $3.00
