This is my 1991 Mustang Cobra GT. It is a Canadian car and the only difference from U.S. Mustang GT's is the name. It is black with black interior. It was ordered from factory without the "Special Value Package #245" that most GT's have. Options such as power mirrors, windows, locks, cruise, air conditioning, illuminated visor mirrors, premium sound system and steering wheel tilt are missing. I have only seen a few foxbody GT's ordered this way and they were Manitoba cars too.
For modifications my Member ID (snakebittengt) sums up most of it. I replaced the original motor with a 1993 Cobra motor. Other than that it has 16" chrome pony wheels, a Cervinis fibreglass hood, a Cobra grill insert, LX taillights, Flowmaster mufflers, pony floormats, Viper alarm and a few boltons.
My plan for the car has been to do some tasteful mods while keeping the appearance mostly stock. I don't want to overdo it, so everything I have done to the car can be changed back to stock. This will never be a drag car but I will take it to the track to see what it will run sometime.
I have some NOS quarter windows that won't be installed until it is repainted. I plan to have the car completely repainted when its finished and I have some extra cash. I am going to replace all the sunbaked parts with new ones. I want it to be done right so I am taking my time and gathering replacement parts and finishing my other plans for the car before I have it painted. I am going to be putting on this nicer looking original cobra intake and detailing more parts under the hood. I hope to change to 5 lug sometime before spring. I have cobra brakes for the front and rear with drilled and slotted rotors.
My car should look like this when it is finished.
