I originally welded on quarter panel patches but decided it was easier for me to replace the quarter panels than to try to smooth out the distorted panels with filler (I hate body work). It's a good thing I did because there was rust around the wheel opening lip. I replaced the wheel houses at the same time. A lot of work, and these things don't fit exactly - you have to bang and bend and clamp and weld and then fill to straighen out the bends.
