There was a lot more rust hidden away than I could see when I bought the car. I really replaced more metal than I should have. Next time I'll do patches instead of panels.
I replaced the full passenger side floor pan and half the pan on the driver's side. Toe panels on both sides were replaced.
The trunk pans were replaced, as well as the tail panel, and cross member.
The floor pan and toe panel welds were ground down and filled. I added convertible torque boxes and Tin Man subframe connectors. I tied them together with a piece of 1/8" steel along the outside of the floor support. The underside was painted with epoxy primer and then Nason chasis black paint.
The tunnel was also modified for an 06 Mustang GT TR3650 transmission. The shifter (Steeda Tri-Ax) was moved back 8" so it sits right at the front of the seats.
