The trunk is done quite simply. I covered the fuel tank with a piece of 14 ga. steel (I'm paranoid about fuel going everywhere in a rear-end collision - I also have a steel plate behind the back seat.) Over that is a piece of 3/8" plywood, covered with outdoor carpeting. The floor piece is in two sections so it can come out easier (or at all!). Another piece hides the battery and electronics behind the seat.

The spare tire is an aluminum space saver (16") from a Mercury Marquis. It weights about 10 lbs and works great.

My wife sewed up a tire cover using the outdoor carpeting. Looks great.


Now for those winter projects - new seats, Vortech blower . . .
