I installed the instruments, the Shelby dash pod (which I'm not crazy about but I don't like the 6 gauge panels - or the price! - and I have to put the tach somewhere). It won't look too bad once I put some trim around the edges (it looks 'plasticky' now - just like they did in 1965).

I insulated the floor pans with Hy-Tech Thermal Solutions sound control paint (like Lizard Skin, but made for industrial applications and is about 1/6 the cost). It looks like Cool Whip and is about that consistency when wet but dries to a thick pretty hard foamy looking stuff that sticks like crazy. I then put some heat duct insulation over that (cheap stuff from Lowe's). That quieted it down a lot and it should insulate well against heat.

Seats are from a 98 Lincoln Mark VIII. They are power (with power lumbar supports!) and are like sitting in a leather recliner - MUCH better than the old 'bleacher' style 65 Mustang seats. I had to cut out the seat platforms and weld 1" (front) and 3/4" (back) angle steel to the floor pans, rocker panels and tunnel to mount them. The driver's seat is just a little close to the steering wheel (not a problem for me).

The Steeda shifter is in just the right place. Three-point seat belts are installed, carpet is in, door panels in. Had to cut the carpet to get around the enlarged tunnel and had an interior guy make a skirt to cover it.
