This is my first of what has turned out to be many Rampages and Scamps (14 so far).My wife thinks I'm obsessed! When I bought it a few years ago it was a plain, repainted red and black Prospector.

Over time I've replaced nearly everything in the interior, and added all the scoops, ground effects, rails, and rear window cover. Unfortunately I didn't take many pictures of the progression. Just wasn't thinking about it.

This is a few of the pocket trucks I've owned over time. I still have the Shelby Charger, which isn't running right now. I've got a T-2 motor and 5-speed that I'm going to drop in it as soon as I get a chance.

This is my son's Scamp. I bought it when he was 16, so it got a little beat up over time. This September (2007) my wife and I decided to fix up and repaint this Scamp and another Rampage I had as a Christmas surprise for our 2 kids. They were away at college, so they knew nothing about it.

This was immediately after painting. I painted it in the 1970 Plymouth color "Limelight". This was my first attempt at painting a vehicle, and again, I didn't think about pictures until I was this far into it. It came out completely orange peeled, so my wife and I spent innumerable hours color sanding and buffing.

Masked off for "AAR Cuda" type stripe.

Stripe unmasked.

"Scamp" decal added.

Hood scoop with biohazard symbol added. (My son likes it-that's why I painted it on.)

Interior with trim painted to match.

Finished truck with new wheels and tires, and roll on liner in bed.

This is the before and after pictures of the 1982 Rampage that we had painted for our daughter's high school graduation.

This was the sad ending of the 1982 Rampage last summer ('07). Gasoline leak. Nobody hurt.

I then bought this one because I wanted the supercharger and other goodies this guy had for sale with it. (You can see other pictures of this one and some of the goodies I got if you look up "Dan's Rampage" elsewhere on this site.) I was going to sell the Rampage, but then thought it would make a nice replacement for my daughter's burned up one.

Here it is in first stages of tear down and body work.

Painted bottom section black and black for 1/4 inch stripe under "Rampage" graphics. Didn't realize the graphics came with that 1/4 inch stripe. Oops! Masked for 1970 Dodge "Panther Pink".

Paint applied and unmasked.

Hood scoop repainted and reattached, emblems reapplied, bra cleaned and reattached.

Roll on bed liner applied.

Phoenix decal applied. (Did you catch the symbolism? I had to explain it to my daughter, but that's okay because she's getting mostly A's in college.)

Interior.

Finished truck with "Rampage 2.2" graphics applied.I painted over what was left of the original graphics thinking I could apply the new ones directly on top of the old ones, which were still visible under the paint. Not a good idea! They didn't line up exactly, so when you look close, you can see a sort of underlying shadow where they are. Oh well. Live and learn. Anyway, both kids were ecstatic!
Next is a picture of the 2 Scamps in the household. The red one is my daily driver.

This is some of the goodies that are going into my red and black Rampage, when I get to that project. The carb will end up sticking through the hood, so I'd like to put a small replica of the old shaker hood scoop over the top of it.

This is the entire present day collection of '83 Rampages and Scamps.

This is my other collection of Rampages. I also have a lot of the ads, articles, and repair manuals for these trucks. There's a couple more rare items I keep watching for on ebay, but I've only seen each of them once and I was either outbid, or didn't have the money at the time. I'll add a couple pictures here, and if anybody sees one or has one, let me know. I'm also looking for one or two '83 Scamp owner's manuals.
