The idea behind this project was not to create an exact replica of the original car. With around some odd 36 examples and priced at 20 million this car is not attainable nor would you 'hot rod' one. But...what if they were produced by the 10's of thousands and available to the average guy (me). Then the cost and guilt would no longer be a factor and customizing a 250 GTO could be a reality. So I purchased a completed 250 GTO kit car and proceeded to dis-assemble it completely. Then during the rebuild I modified it as you would any other custom creation. The following is a short list of some of those modifications : SBC(400 hp) with aluminum heads, Edelbrock Pro Flo EFI, Billet Specialties Tru-Trac, long tube headers with wraps, aluminum radiator with Cool-It electric fan, T-5, McLeod shifter re-locator, Centre Force clutch, CV axle conversion, R200 diff with Quaife LSD, 4 wheel disc upgrade, polyurethane bushings, Eibach springs, Koni adjustable struts, sway bar upgrade 1" frt 3/4" rr, Daytona knock off wire wheels, Recaro seats, 4 point harness, roll bar. Kind Regards.
