Threadhead's 1985 Toyota Celica

Third generation
The GT-S Convertible, modified by American Specialty Cars (ASC) in California

Threadhead's 1985 Toyota Celica

I bought this one with 90K on it and it was painted white with a white top. It was garage kept and now sports a red paint job with a black dyed top. Everything else is original save the short block assembly which was replaced when the one time I let someone else change my oil at a gas station in a rush. They put a nissan filter on and it blew.

It has 170K now and runs great! Stays in the the garage but for sunny days here in SC!

Thanks Threadhead, If I should decide to keep my white one, which I just changed over the a/c unit to R134 ($1000) no rust, 5spd, everything works, extra set of rims & parts. I will paint it Corvette Blue w/chrome factory rims and then change the interior to black leather since these cars didn't come with leather. And of course black carpet. Then I will focus on horsepower. That to me was the major flaw of this car..SPEED! Handling is excellent! I'm making my mind up now if I'm going to keep my white one, but the idea of it being blue or Silver, makes me want to see it through!

Hey, great looking GT-S. Hold on to it, because they are getting rare to find, and I've had four so far. But,if you want to see a special on, which I'll add more pictures later. Check out my one of a kind Convertible. The paint guy tried to talk me out of doing that, but once completed, he fell in love with it even more! Let me know what you think about it, and toss me a ranking! Sanman
