[Note: This profile is done in a 'tongue in cheek' fashion. I don't really believe the Pontiac 6000 was the car to end all cars]
My notchback saloon
Introducing the sensational Six-Thousand. The 1980's answer to the sports roading sedan.
Spanning two decades (1981 to 1991), the 6000 was one of the first GM passenger sedans to offer All-Wheel-Drive on the STE trim level. It was Pontiac's intermediate sedan to the Bonneville, slotted above the smaller mid-size Grand Am, and built upon GM's FWD A-Body architecture.
Unfortunate to drivers everywhere, the 6000 was phased out when the Grand Prix became offered in sedan form.
In it's final year, the 6000 scored a 5-Star rating with JD Power and Associates Consumer Overall Quality survey.
