Like I said the Cobalt I was in had a very solid feeling chassis so it's good that the Ion is built on it.

I know a lot about cars but I didn't know that it's on the same chassis. I had always assumed that the Ion was built on the same chassis as the S-series cars that the Ion replaced. Most car companies do that but I guess GM wanted to save some money. That's a good thing tho b/c i rode in a Cobalt and the chassis felt very solid. I can't say the same for my sister's 2001 Saturn SC-2 altho the 5-speed manual tranny felt pretty good. Is the Ion running the same engine with the Cobalt as well? Hopefully it's not the engine in my sister's car b/c its a real rough-running unit that feels cheap and sounds terrible.

oh nice. Saturns aren't exactly known for thier speed but thats Cobalt SS territory right there. What kind of mileage are you getting? Do they make many aftermarket parts for the Ion? I love my Olds Intrigue but they just don't make many parts for em. There are a lot of performance parts available but not much in the way of styling. It kind of makes it harder to make the car unique.
