coreyfence's 1977 Dodge W-Series Pickup

About the Mudslinger: 1977 Dodge W-100. 318 cid. engine, Np435 transmission 6.68 to 1 1st gear. Np 203 full time 4wd transfer case. Dana 44 front axle and Chrysler 9.25 rear axle with 4.10 gears.

I bought the truck in '05 primarily as a mud truck. It had a 4" body lift and 35" BFgoodrich MT's. I paid $500.

Trying to keep this build on the cheap took some creativity. The 5.5" front and 7" rear suspension lift came from building custom leaf packs from a rear Chevy 3/4 ton springs. Most of the springs had to be cut using a chop saw. Total cost was only $200.

Other additions were the flatbed made from pressure treated 2x6 lumber with 4x4 braces. The snorkel is homemade. I used 4" sewer pipe at Home Depot. Heavy duty clutch, new fuel pump, starter, alternator, wiper motor, rebuilt carburetor, front tow hooks, rear receiver, and a $15 rattle can paint job.

My favorite addition has to be the 37x13x15 Super Swamper Boggers I bought off of Craigs list for $700 with less than 500 miles.

Future plans include a D44,D60 combo out of a 3/4 ton M880(military dodge), rear spool, lunch box style locker in the front, front lockout hubs, MM12000# winch, Edelbrock performer intake and AVS carburetor, and bigger meats.

Total cost so far only $1700

*I'll add some carnage pics and videos of us wheeling later
