I got bored and saw this on a few cars in black and I saw it done on silver on one car. I like they way it makes the chrome exhaust tips pop out. Incase you wanna do it it's pretty easy. get a fine scuff pad(grey), shop towels and some wax and grease remover from any O Reilly's or any auto paint supply shop. I used SEM trim black from mine but any flat black, no clear coat that way it stays semi closs instead of being real glossy. Get some tape and paper from the store also. First get a bucket or something else like it and fill it with water and a table spoon of dish soap. First wipe it down with wax and grease remover. The soak the scuff pad in the water and sfuff it till the area to be painted it dull when dry. get rid of any shiny spots. You can also use 1000 grit wet sandpaper. When your done dry it off good. Outline the panel with masking tape 1st or you can use blue fine line tape from a auto supply store. Then take one edge of the paper and tape it over the origia]nal masking tape. You can also get a paper from Home Depot, or a store that is in a dispensor with brown paper and tape on it already. Also cover the exhaust tips.Saves time. Wipe it with wax and grease remover once more and wipe it dry. Then spray the 1st coat on real lite. Doesn't matter if you see the color through it.
