I'm posting a couple pictures of what it looks like right now,...and then we'll start from the beginning. (Click on any picture to enlarge it)

This is the newest project I picked up last December. It's certainly no show winner,....but hey, what do you expect for only $5000. It's an '81 Coupe with T-tops and a TH350,.....and the best thing about is, it's BLACK!!! I've wanted a Black 80-82 Corvette ever since my Sophmore year in high school. (Which happen to be 1980) So, here it is 28 years and 44 cars later before I finally decide to build one. As they say: "Better Late Than Never"!!!
.
.
One thing I hate is wheel gap....all that space between the top of the tires and the fender. I need to install my VB&P front coil springs and 8" bolts in the rear to bring the whole car down. I'll be cutting at least a 1/2 coil off the front springs to get it down about 2 full inches. These VB&P springs will lower it 1" by themselves,....unfortunately one inch isn't going to cut it!

Check out the stupid personal plate the guy had on it. I guess it might be funny if you thought about the person in front of you who see's the opposite in their rear view mirror...."MOOOOV" (As in...get the heck out of my way)

The interior is about the best part of the whole car as of right now.
.
.
It's actually in really good shape for a 27 year old car.
.
.
These Centerlines are 15 x 10" with only a 3-3/8" backspacing. (Hmmmmm, I wonder why he needed to add the fender flares?)
.
.

.
The guy actually did a pretty good job of installing the flares, unfortunately he made it look like the car has mud flaps on the backside. No question about it, they need to be trimmed to form the shape of the body.

Not only is it missing the two rubber spoiler extentions, it's also missing the center airdam. (I have new ones for it though)
.
.
Now this is just a sorry excuse for an engine compartment. How some people let their cars get to this point is beyond me. (Look at the power brake booster and resevior) But hey,...give me a couple months and I'll have a nasty built small block sticking out the hood, and everything else will be painted a nice flat black.
