ok, after careful consideration and endless time rolling around "researching", i found that the subwoofer sounds best with half the seat folded down. if you have a 60/40 split back seat like i do, i would reccomend that the 40% goes down. i am not sure why this sounds better, because i am not a scientist, but it really does. try it and let me know what you think.
Thanks for everyone's advice on grounbd effects kits. I have seen many that have caught my eye. This past weekend I picked up a sub for my car. my friend gave me one hell of a deal on a 12" Apline Type S. I chose to go with an MTX 250 watt amplifier. I know it is only one sub, but that's all I need for the type of music I listen to. I have heard my friends cars with dual 12" subs, and that is a little too obnoxious for me. I will get pics as soon as I can.
I picked this car up in January 2001 with 92,000 miles on it. I bought it because it was a 5 speed with a 3.1 L V-6. It was completely stock. I have done many slight improvements to the vehicle since. I only use Castrol Syntec fully synthetic 5w-30. The key to success is good motor oil, I think anyways.
Here is a list of mods that I have done:
Custom exhaust
Borla Muffler
Bosch Platinum+4 spark plugs
Bosch plug wires
K&N clod air intake
B&M shifter Knob
Pioneer deck and Speakers
This is a list of the cars I have beaten in races:
1994 Ford Mustang 3.8L V-6 Automatic
-Not even close
1977 Ford F-250 w/ big block V-8 automatic
-He beat me on the 15 mph kick down though
2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GT 3.8L V-6 automatic
-Very close race, but the old guy just couldn't run with this, he had a really crappy start
2000 Ford F-150 4.7L V-8 manual
-Some guy trying to impress his girlfriend
2001 Mitsubishi Eclips GT 3.0L V-6 Automatic
-Very close, but his tires slipped at the beginning and he had a poor reaction time at the stop light
1997 Pntiac Grand Am GT 3.1L V-6 Automatic
-Nothing special
1995 Acura Integra GS manual
-Stupid high school student, just got his license
1994 Chevrolet Beretta GTZ w/ quad-four & an Automatic
-Another guy trying to impress his chick, tough luck getting laid that night buddy!
...and many more to come

Here is the side view. How much do you think I can lower it? I am thinking between 1.5" and 2.0"

A ground effects kit would look very sharp, but which one should i get? I can't say that I am a huge fan of the Razzi kits, and that is all I've seen.
