Currently it has full exhaust with 4-2-1 headers at 1.5" to 2" collectors and 2" the rest of the way, with a cannon muffler at the end.

It’s also got a pod filter and the exhaust is wrapped back to the resonator. 7m of exhaust wrap for the headers and another 7m from the headers to the cat then I didn’t wrap the cat because it was too big, then from the other side of the cat to the resonator.
I wrapped the exhaust for two reasons.

1. The transmission tunnel was getting extremely hot, uncomfortably hot in fact after a bit of a drive.
2. The hotter the exhaust the less dense the exhaust gases, the faster it flows, the more gas flows out, hence more performance.
I don’t know about the performance but after I wrapped the exhaust and replaced that rubber cover where the gearstick comes through the floor the transmission tunnel heat was almost completely gone. Another bonus is the exhaust note is much more metallic sounding, makes it sound more like a race car when it screams all the way through to 7000 rpm.

Also for those interested this is why you should insulate your headers.

notice the melting of the air box, not very nice considering that, that's the air that the air filter is sucking.

Very clean roadster. Good idea about the headers. It's tight in there. Also, liked the info about the drag coefficient. I've got a roadster too, and have wondered how much it went up with the top down. Five***** Come check out my roadster.
