After much sanding and blocking i sent the car out for paint as i didn't have the room to do it myself. Due to some evil cloud of bugs, during the drying stage of the clear coat it was required to wet sand the entire car. Since it was close to winter i took it one panel at a time with 2000grit paper.
When i had the entire car wet sanded to a dull finish i decided to leave it that way till i was done, so i could worry less about scuffs and scratches during assembly.
With that done i turned to the interior which just needed re-assembly and a quick freshening up. Since i figured i wouldn't be able to hear a radio i opted for guages in place of the radio. I also decided to go with a Auto Meter tach with a shift light. Getting the monster tach to fit behind the wheel was a bit of a challenge but after removing the factory bezel and guage the new tach slid right in. Also at the time i planned on using the factory speedo, i later found that with the turbo 350 trans and the gear and tire combo none of the speedo gears from GM worked. So i went without for a while. More about that later in this battle.
