When i called to order the roll bar i asked if i could keep the back seat in my car, and the guy assured me i could. So i said cool i'll be down to pick it up. As we were loading it in my truck i looked at the assembly drawing and it showed the rear tubes on a diagonal back to the rear of the car(right where the seat needed to be). I almost told the guy to keep the bar, but thought i could get around it somehow. The bar was supposed to be a deep set bar, so the cross bar in the hoop had a huge U-shaped bend in it. And after much measuruing i found out that if i cut it in half and extended the tube i could get it to clear the seat completely!! I welded in 1/8 plates 8"x8" to beef up the sheetmetal where the rear tubes intersected the rear floor over the axle. The car stiffened up tremendously. At this point i made some changes to the front end.
