This is my 1963 Ford Fairlane 500. I bought it on Dec 15th, 2007. It is Sandshell Beige with Ivy Gold interior. This Fairlane has a 260 2V and a 3 speed manual on the column. I bought it out of North Carolina where it spent the last 44 years. The car is very solid with all it's original sheet metal, and just one repaint. I do have plans for the car, but need to finish my Mustang project first. However, I wanted to make it safe and reliable, so I have added a Pertronix, seat belts, front disc brakes, alternator, halogens, and rebuilt the front end. I also repainted the interior and replaced the carpet.  I found the original window sticker in the glovebox.  This is how it sits today.

You have a beautiful ride there. Looks like a 2 door version of mine. I have a 63 Fairlane 500 4 door that I just got on the 15th of Nov, 2008. It is hard to tell from pics, but our exteriors look similar in color. Mine is Alabaster. My interior looks like a medium brown/brown green two-tone. The exterior was painted about a year ago, and the interior was restored to as close to original color and material as possible at the same time. It has 70,000 original on the original motor. I was told it was a 221 motor, and that the 260 was introduced mid way through the year. I estimate that my beauty is about 90% restored. I still would like to get the factory air installed, but other than a few minor things (door lock pin covers, side view mirrors), it needs nothing. All the chrome was re-plated, the glass is like new, new rubber trim seals for all glass and doors. I cannot seem to find the vin # though. I thought it would be on the inside door panels, or the dash, but not that I can see. Can ya help a fellow Fairlane owner out with this problem?
