this is my 1978 Monte. She is all original, the body is sraight and is %100 RUST FREE.I bought this car in October of '06 from the original owner.I've always liked old Chevy,s and when I seen this one,I had to have it. So we worked out a deal for $2,800,and she was mine! This is my first car.The original owner bought it brand new.He garaged it and always replaced things even before they broke.he was selling it because he didnt have the time to take care of it anymore, the garage was home now to his wifes minivan,. It has never seen salt. And I rarely drive it in the rain, otherwise it stays under a car cover in it's new garage. The Monte was bought new at the dealership in the town where I live.So it is a local car.More updates will come in the future cause' I got alot in store for this one.Nuthin too wild, just something unique I can call my own.

UPDATES! !!!!!!!!!!!!MOTOR IS FINISHED AND PAINTED!!!!!!!!!!!!
New pics of the motor, finally all chromed up.if you look real close you can see my trick bowtie air cleaner nut.All new parts are, chrome air cleaner,K&N air filter,Taylor high performance 8mm. wires,MSD dist. cap,new water pump, carb, and all new belts and hoses.Motor is freshly re-built and painted semi-gloss black.Any and every gasket was replaced and the heads were trued and ported with new valves, lifters, springs, cam, and double roller timing chain. It has really good performance and response for a 305,i'm really happy about how it came out! The last major thing for the Monte is a re-paint and it will be even that much closer to being finished!!

Painted the insides of my fenders with POR15 rust preventer as well as under the doors where these cars we all know love to rust at.

FINALLY... u cant have a classic chevy without some decent beat! 2 10'' Kicker comp subs in my custom box.All driven by a sony Xplod 800Watt amp.
Some updated pics showing some subtle touches like my flame dice, chevrolet steering wheel cover,my dashmat, and chrome brake and gas pedal inserts I grabbed from a pontiac grand prix.
Headrests are back from the embroiders with the monte carlo script inside the bowtie.just one of the small details you have to look twice to notice.
New exterior pics.........
As you can see I had to replace one of the quarter extensions on the drivers side because it had gotten cracked really bad a while back.they are only fiberglass and are not hard to break.I have another replacement for the other side when I finally get rid of the maaco paint job in the summer of 09'
Where she is now stored in the winter.
