1991 PORSCHE 964 CARRERA 2
This car was acquired in 2001. The car was fitted with tiptronic and had a few extras that made it into a real special car. The extras were 993 cup wheels, sport coil over suspension and some cosmetic changes i.e. 993 door handles and rear view mirrors and third stop light.

Here are some of my impressions with regards to driveability
You must keep in mind that the older cars should not be compared to the technology available today .
Performance :
This 911 was a superb car. It was modified to the extend where it was fitted with Carrera 993 17� wheels and the coil over sport suspension, front strut torsion bar and sport seats. This car had a tiptronic transmission which made the acceleration for the first few yards a bit slow but man there after it was wildly enjoyable.. Man what a car. The performance level was determined by selecting sport mode which was automatically selected by stomping the accelerator pedal hard and fast a few times. This turned this 250 HP car into a most enjoyable car. This car was quick of the mark and had a top speed at least 161 MPH (260 KMH) It had a tiptronic gearbox and the shift was perfect.
Handling :
The 911 was excellent in this category. This car with the suspension and 17 � wheels handled out of this world. This changed the cars looks entirely and the rims filled the wheel arch gaps better. This car handled superb.
Braking ability :
The braking ability of this car was good no mater what the conditions. This was a no fear braking system where you made a mistake the ABS took over. The four pod calipers was out of this world.
Overall:
The best 911 I have ever owned. The drive whether short or long trips was superb. I took this car on our local Club time trails and enjoyed it a lot. It was not totally competitive due to the transmission but most enjoyable. This is the car that I regret the most of parting with but if it was not for that I would never have experienced the �other� Porsches that I owned after it.
