Cost me a HUGE AU$250 to buy this beast of a car. Came complete with a blown head gasket and 2 chipped valves.

After i replaced the valves + headgasket, she was back on the road and running perfectly.

After this, whats the first thing i did to the POS? Chuck a stereo in it of course!
This gear: DD9512 dual 1ohm + caliber MK2

in this setup:

Was good enough to get me a 144.3db and 2nd place in St A at Sydney Autosalon dBDrags in May '04. however it simply wasnt loud enough!!

Clearly a new box design was in order.
#1: 143.x @ 2ohm never loaded down to 0.5 ohm.

#2: 147.12. Dont currently have any pictures of this setup unfortunately. [edit] took some pics of "the chimney" box

After #2 it was time to ditch the single DD 9512 and replace with 2 DD3510s. With the new woofers came the addition of a new amp. The Eaudio 3000D, a brand named + imported by a friend and myself. I brought 20 into the country. Output is 3000wrms @ 1ohm.

and so came the next install....my poorest effort to date.

#3: 143.2. Running temporary Atomic AP10s in a new enclosure, extended into the fibreglassed tyrewell. Subs + port toploaded. No finished pictures of this install as it was scrapped rather hastily after the competition.

and finally
#4 149.2. My best score to date.

At Australian dbdrag finals i managed a best of 148.2 and a 2nd Place. With minor tweaking the next month at Summernats '05 i managed a best of 148.6 and FIRST place. With some more tweaking i have now managed a best of 149.2 without any port modifications, thats next.

Next to come is the addition of another Eaudio 3000d and a change to Dual 2ohm DD3510s to allow me to strap the two 3000ds to 0.5ohm (0.25 per amp). With the added gear i expect to be almost breaking the 151 mark.

Second Eaudio 3000D installed:

New subs arrived start of febuary. New DD3510ds (left) dual 2ohm. Heres a comparison vs the old "c" series (right)

My latest score at dBDrags: 150.5
Accidently left the amp manual infront of the port...

hi there., tell me something.., what have you done with the braking system? is it the same or any modifications done to that too? I was wondering if you could give me a tip as which disc and brake calipers can fit into my car's front braking system to give more soft pedal but at the same time strong braking response. Waiting for your response.

make sure you have a timming retard mechanism when boost is building up. My computor retards 15 degrees for 30 psi boost, and base timming is 32 degrees max from 3000 rpm to read line. I would hate to see you blow up the new engine
