This is my 1972 Datsun 240Z. I bought it 5 years ago and my friends immediately started calling it the "Super Datsun". It was an easy way to distinguish between my two Z's. I think the name fits.
If you want to follow the buildup, check out the thread at hybridz.org. Its still a work in progress, and all the updates will be there with final pictures here - when its done, I might consider putting the build photos here as well.

Basic specs - 72 240Z massively modified and still being finished/worked on. Car has suspension/brakes/cage/interior that was originally for a GT-2 race car. It has been modified to be driven on the street. "street" tires are 275f and 335r. I stripped out the old interior and will soon be putting new carpet/etc.. in.
The engine is a R33 RB26dett. As you can see, there is lots of custom work to make it all fit. Everything is currently out of the car for fabrication of the new oil pan.
Some links on my website with the car before paint/etc..

If you look closely, you can see the very faint ghost flames. All paint was done by A+ Collision in Anderson S.C. Roger, the owner is amazing....
Towing it to Texas from VA - duty station change. I'm now instructing in the T-45 jet trainers. Pretty fun job!
Shots when I was pulling the engine back out for the new engine. That is the other set of CCW wheels - they are 18x12r and 18x11f
All the custom intercooler/intake work was done by a Walker Morgam of Morgan Performance in Birmingham, Al.
