This is my 1989 Nissan 240sx Coupe. I've been building this project from the ground up since mid 2007. It took me quite a while to decide on what motor to run for this car. I finally decided on the SR20DET simply because it's a platform I've been familiar with for quite a while and I have worked on several of them previously. I wanted to make sure I'd have a motor that I could work on with confidence and a set-up that meant that I wouldn't be throwing several thousands of dollars into this car before I had even got it on the track.
Here's what I have so far:
Stock T25 Turbo (going to a larger turbo in the near future)
Megan Racing Track coilovers
Tein Tie Rods
circuit sports downpipe
Greddy FMIC
Greddy turbo timer
TurboXS RFL BOV
Exedy stage 2 triple puck clutch
obx lsd
RSR exhaust
Megan Racing Pulleys
Sportmax 501's (15x8) 3 inch lip
Silkroad turbo Manifold
Avid racing solid motor mounts
Future plans include:
a larger turbo
550cc injectors
JGY fuel rail
Defi guages
Suspension Techniques sway bars
Stop tech big brake kit
B&M short shifter
1 pc. aluminum driveshaft
I have yet to decide on an engine management system. Paint and body work will be one of my last additions to this project due to the fact that it will be for the most part a strictly track only car. Besides it doesn't have to look good to run well. I'd rather it run like a champ than spend money on paint and body parts.
