Allright let me start by explaining to you how i ended up with this 91 lebaron convertible...1st of all this is..well was a friend of the familes car, the man who owned it was one of my dads customers(my dad is a auto body man) who ended up becoming both mine and my fathers friend..this car's been in a few fender benders but the most recent 1 was when he hit a bmw causing the front fender to buckle in and because it was cold out and he was travelling about 40mph the headlight section also ended up breaking.Now before he even came ot my dad to explain what happened earlyer that day i had just picked up an 89 lebaron coupe which i was using for parts on my 88 shelby-z,and about 9hours later that evening my dads buddy comes to our house all shook up(cause he had just left the scene of the accident) and me and my dad whent out and looked at the damage and it was pretty bad..and seeing as it was a 91 lebaron convertible and they dont really carry those parts to replace he was in a panic assuming that insurance was gonna write off hic car which he loved..so he looks next to our garage and see the lebaron i just picked up earlyer that day and i didnt even realize but it was almost like fate that i had bought this 89 cuz it had a mint front clip which he could use on his..and i only charged him $100 for everything and i helped with changing,priming,and painting them(insurance wanted $3000 to fix it)me and my dad fixed it for $300 in total..he was happy to have his car..and after that he and 1 were"mate's" as he says haha.
Now this was all about 2years ago and in those 2 years i helped him with other various car problems. So now back to this present year..it had been about 6months since we seen our old buddy..and just about a week ago(dec.10.07)our old mate stopped by verry randomly and i was busy but he and my dad whent in the garage to catch up and my dad came in about an hour later..and he told me that our old buddy was moving..in a week..and he just bought a new car..and he coldnt get a trade in on his old lebaron..and up to this point i didnt really care..then i heard..he's giving it to you..then my eyes lit up!

Now the car sits at my uncles shop awaiting me to get it on the road.I just recently whent there and let the top down and cleaned it...and i was surprised by what he left behind..a complete audio systen,sony deck,sony door speakers,and a kenwood amp!..and i got it all for free along with the car...which is ognna be my beather when im not dragging my 78 pontiac phoenix.
My plans are to fiz the minor stuff wronf with it(like the back windows not going down,and the turn signal switch is broken)and im going to put in my 10"sony explode sub..just so every 1 can hear me comin ;]...paints obvioulsy going to happen..im thinking the same blue as my 88shelby-z...but thats down the road..for now i just need the car to get to school and work.
