Nice LeBaron! How is the performance on those 5-speed Turbo II engines? I used to own a 1987 Chrysler LeBaron convertible. It was of course the turbo I with automatic. No bottom-end at all but the turbo kicked in quick and got the car moving. Too bad the exhaust was so loud. It was a beautiful car however! Red flash with charcoal Corinthian leather, black convertible top, luggage rack on the rear deck-lid and fully digital instrument panel with verbal alert system. Too bad the car was so troublesome. Everything that could possibility break down broke down. If I had tons of money and time to burn, I'd love to custom-make a solid lateral frame for that 1987 Lebaron convertible. Then convert it to rear-drive and drop in a 360cu" V8, completely tricked out under the hood but everything you 'see' is bone stock. The car would be 10 times more reliable, faster and wouldn't flex at all. Shame on Chrysler for making such a beautiful car front-drive and underpowered.

I bet it's a big differnce I can't wait. Do you think you could send me a picture of the insert around the bottom of the shifter? as my page says im swapping it to the 555 and i want to know if i can just cut the auto insert to work or if im going to have to find a 5 spd j body to get one from.Thanks.
