Here is my 1989 Ford Ranger. It started its life as a construction truck, and now I have it. It has 140,000 miles, Its a 2.9L v6 and has a 5 speed tranny. Currently the motor / trans are getting pulled. Then the rear. The new motor will be a 302. The 302 was just rebuilt using a 1966 block, it was bored .040 over. New flattop pistons were installed and the crank was ground. The heads where milled down for hi-compression. It has a Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, Edelbrock cam .498/.520lift, MSD Dist, Manley Valves & Valve Springs, MSD 6AL ignition, MSD Blaster 2 Coil, Holly 600cfm carb, and Headman Headers. I will be using Trans-dapt motor mounts for the swap. For the trans I have a automatic AOD that I have a TCI rebuild kit and a Trans-go shift kit for. I will be using a b&m rachet shifter along with a b&m holeshot 3000 stall converter. For the rear I will be using a explorer 8.8, and regearing it to 4.10 or 4.30. Also in the rear I will be running a 4 link setup with QA1 coilovers. The interior is stripped, heater/air conditioning removed, radio removed, and trim removed. It will be used as a drag truck. Hoping to run 12's
Heres my truck now its quite Ripped apart, in the process of pulling the motor & trans + stripping the interior
