***August 14, 2009 update. I decided to build the Oldsmobile 403. And wait on the 455 to build it the way I want too. So I took my #6 head to the machine shop. Im getting alittle over a grand worth of work done to the heads. I will be taking the 403 to the machine shop next week. For just standard work. More details on the engine page
May 12, 2009 update. Well, a few things has happened. Im parting out my 87 Camaro so alot of parts are goin from the Camaro to the Cutlass. I put the Aluminium Rear Drums on the cutlass. Put my 15 inch rims on the cutlass. With 275/60/15 on the back. The front im still debating on the tire size but right now it has 215/65/15. I did get a 1975 455 with J heads that I got running but it is sitting waiting to dropped in but Im going to build it first. I picked up some good condition E heads. I also got a Performer Intake for the 455 also.  I did get some Used Hi Compression Pistons but I decided to get forged pistons. Soon has I finished my bike. I will start on the Cutlass again.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------***Feb 05, 2009 update. Nothing new with the cutlass. It is still running strong. Im working on getting a 455 for it. And making it my drag car some day. But only time will tell.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------1981 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Brougham 5.7L Diesel. I brought it for $300 cash. All I had to do to it is but a good battery in and replace a power steering hose.

Diesel so it has a block heater

nice project. good luck with the 403. i dont think ill be putting a pontiac engine in my olds any more because i found a 68 firebird sitting in a field with no engine and i have a pontiac 400 im going to stroke out to a 455 for it.. im probably going to find a 350 rocket or maybe a 455 olds for my cutlass. i found a rolled 442 im going to buy and use for parts maybe i can chop the tops off the cutlass and 442 and swap them and have myself a 442.
