seattle68impala's 1968 Chevrolet Impala

Summer 2007

I love this car even though I've only been able to drive it around the block 4 times since I got it. The interiors pretty nice

(No rats, thank god!), and the trunk is pretty nice. Not much rust in it.

Theres a lil rust on the trunk lid and the hood but I'm going to replace those soon enough. I decided to paint the car Glossy Jet Black with black interior.

It had a messed up intake so coolant got in the block. I replaced both and bought a new 600cfm edelbrock carb and Im supposed to finish getting the motor tuned in tomorrow. I cant wait! I also found out that the radiator has a small leak in the passanger side corner so Ima have to replace that radiator with one out of my 67 impala. Ill have updates soon thanks for checking me out! Oh and by the way, this is how the car looks after i bought it for a whopping $500!!!

UPDATE Dec 28th 2007!!!: Im changing out the 327 for a running 350 out of a 72 impala so i can get the 327 rebuilt and still be able to drive it. Ill let you know how it goes this weekend!

UPDATE Dec 31st 2007!!!: The 327 is out now and the 350 we pulled is on it way in. I got lucky with the 350 because it turned out to be a 4 bolt main, and it looks to be a heavy duty truck type 350 that the people ordered in their wagon to tow their campers!

UPDATE July 8th New flowmaster 40series put on and loving the sound!

Looking good and sounds like you have the same direction as me. Only difference is I'm trying to find a 400 SB to stroke to a 427 pushing about 500 horses. Can't wait to see how yours come out when your done.
