olds44276's 1976 Oldsmobile 442

This is the site about my 76 442! I found this car after my 76 Culass Salons frame rusted out...and i need to replace it. I saved this car from being a crusher item. The guy that had it wrecked it then was trying to put a mid 70's pontiac altenator on it. (you know those huge ones that went on the bonnevilles!) he was talking about pulling the motor cause the altenator wouldnt line up. So his idea was to smash out the windows put a chevy in it and make a race car out of it! That wasnt going to happen. $175 dollars bought it! It had been though the mill as far as the body and interior went. So the Cutlass Salon (GOD rest its soul)became parts for the 442. THIS IS MY 3RD 442. I will post pictures of all my Oldsmobiles....the only one i dont have pics of is the 72 442. The 76 442 is a w29 350 170 hp with 350 turbo trans.I have a w30 455 that I found by accident in a 80 chevy truck! (you know the ones that had the olds diesel in and people was putting OLDS gas motors back in!) It will be rebuilt soon. Check back for updates! Check out my other cars in my favorite links!

There's a lot of potential there Tim. You do realize that your 442 is a 1977 and not a 1976. Also, you have the Supreme tail lights. A few parts, a little work and some TLC and you'll be ready for the Oldsmobile Nationals. Good Luck.
