ford50only50's 1977 Ford LTD

This page is a tribute to a long lost love - my first car, the 77 LTD 2 Brougham. We were together many happy years, and the first weekend I bring it to school, the crankshaft goes. It was a sad day...

302
C4
9 inch posi!
it came with AC, but it dissapeared as soon as I learned how to turn a wrench
Dual exhaust - nothing fancy, but it flowed free when I wanted it too

thanks to user oldschool1, here's a pic that shows just how sexy "da butt" of these things are at this angle

I went through some phases with this car...

Thanks for checking out my page, and wow, 1997? The prices were that low only eight some years ago lol, I was like eight then so that's about when I started rememembering stuff :D. Oh well, what are gas prices in your area right now>?Ours are about 1.90 per gallon, much better than those after the hurricane! Yeah though it's worth every penny in my opinion to keep the oldies alive. Thanks again, good luck with your other cars; I'll check them out too sometime.

I LOVE that LTD phase of the "stacked" headlights!! I think the only other cars that had those stacked headlights in that same erra in the late 1970's was the Chevy Monte Carlo. Anyone remember that TV series back in the 1980's called HIGHWAY TO HEAVEN with Michael Landon? The car they drive in everywhere is the same car as yours - a "77 LTD. A very distinct & unique body phase for the LTD. I wonder why Ford changed their body style so drastically for only a couple of years back then and didn't stick with that style for more than just 2 years.....??? Thanks for sharing all those pictures for everyone. I currently have a 1986 Ford LTD that was my dad's car - he died in 2000 and I got the car (have restored and permanantly fixed every sign of rust with POR15) - what a nice ride! In the past I've had a 1971 and a 1973 LTD.
