update February 28, 2009...Well it has been a while since I updated the site. I got the car out of paint and had some quality issues with the bumble bee stripe from the painter. I ended up pulling the car out of the shop and went to a different shop to finish the car. Well I went back to paint prison for a month and a half, ouch. The good news is, I just got the car back last Monday. Now this week, we got the new door handles on, all the emblems on, and the trunk was tie coat primered (getting ready for the spatter paint). The bumper brackets were all POR-15'd along with the rear cocktail shakers. Hope to have some pics here in the future with some changes to what I have posted below.
update October 23, 2008....well almost done with the paint and then the real fun starts..reassembly. just have some touchup areas to do. undercoating the rear wheel wells and the bumble bee stripe to still be stenciled and painted and then the front of the car cleared. we put in new mono leaf springs in and hopefully with some weight on the rear those springs will settle. kind of looks like a 4 X 4 now..... temporary steering wheel and power steering box in there to more the car around.

fixed paint line to a more "feathered" look

update September 22,2008.. here are some pictures of the painting process. It has only just begun so there are a lot of small things to work out. All in due time. The overspray on the firewall will be fixed among a few other minor things....enjoy

needs a better line between the cowl and the firewall.....

front end coming slowly...

looks a little dark here due to the lighting....

update September 19, 2008...the body has been painted along with the doors as well as the underside of the car.....The car is still on the "rotisserie" and working on painting some of the steering parts. Have to get the car on the ground here shortly. Still to go (paint)are the fenders, two deck lids(one with a spoiler), hood, header and cowl panels. When that is all painted and wet sanded the car will be a roller..... I am thinking maybe two to three more weeks plus with painting the bumble bee strip maybe more like three to four weeks. Pictures are coming soon but I want to get it on the ground first. The butternut yellow looks great...... thanks for checking back
update August 21, 2008...Finally the day has arrived. We started the paint process....check back in a few weeks to see the car.
update July 14, 2008....Waiting for A/C box to get refurbished. Still in Paint Prison. Hopefully will spray here in a few weeks.
update April 14, 2008....Doors were added as were fenders. Body aligned. All heavy mud work then sanded with 180. Masked then taped off. First coat of primer applied. Next step is block sanding (180) then second primer.

update February 14, 2008... body was then coated with POR-15, seam sealed then a nice coat of epoxy primer. getting closer to paint!!
