This is My 1976 cosworth vega.  currently it has the 122ci EFI engine and a 5 speed trans from a standard vega.

As of Nov-23 I'm in the Air Force so it will sitting in the barn for quite a while

Once I know where im going to be stationed hopefully long term, I'm planning on pulling her out of storage and droping in an ecotec...  most likly a l61 (2.2 from 02-05 cavalier) really wanted the 2.0 turbo from gxp solstice but, with variably valve timing and direct injection, probaly way out of my capabilitys...     so the 140hp is just going to have to do, (but thing hauled with a broken down 33 y.o. 110hp so il get over it.

                                    please rate my ride!

and vote my pole alough my mind is made up i would like to know what people think

glad these days are over.

I'm 19 now,  these pics were forn 06 when i first got the car.  rough times,  kids these days dont apprecaite anything old unless it's in a magazene. and dont understand how truly gay there little civics are..  kinda got made fun of for having a cool car.

After getting it running and replacing the hatch and hood I drove it like this for 2-3 months while preping it for paint

bought it with a stroked 350 and 700r trans but my parrents for some reason wouldn't let me keep it eventhough it only would have needed was a larger radiator and some reinforcements on the rearend.  instead i sold the v8 for $1,000 and rebuilt the 2.0 that orgionaly came out of the car.

any one know how to correctly add video or links please let me know.

this is the material hidden under the seat covers,   pretty much in prefect condition.

but like every thing else going to replace them... the front need recliners, and most likly going to cut and cover the back to fit wheel wells..

Had to get rid of that ugly gold dash         half the dash was missing when purchased, dont even know what # cosworth mine is, is anyone knows how or where to find out in dying to know...       17,000 back in spring of 06 up to 48,000+ orgional miles now  (she gets driven)  but the 5 speed isnt geared for the 3.73 rear-end so i actuall only  put on about 2/3 of that (orgional miles means nothing to me since i am never getting rid of this car.

(also since my clock is broken u will notice it's always 4:20 in my vega)

Stereo

2 12" 1000wt alumapro subs   and kenwood 6x9"   and i have  5 1/4" hidden under the dash...     currently using a single 975 and they pound like carzy and sounds crystal clear all the way up to mox power

Car is now being stored (no idea how long, and planing a complete renovation when its out, so i made the mistake of giving this little setup to my brothers 02 Buick Century

        Pg 2 - - - future mods

Pg 3 - - - best cosworth ever   (sadly not mine)

feel encouraged to comment my ride as ill return the favor

Very nice, she is worth saving to an orig state. My run of the mill wagon "Quarter Pounder" has on the other hand found a NEW life in the old school fast lane. Keep up the good work you are on the way to a great classic! Thanks for the posting.

Nice car guy. You did a good job with it. The exspensive paint jobs aren't always the best ones. Yours looks great.

Nice ride, but you need to tone it down some. To each his own, if someone likes huge spoilers and wants to light up the world from under their car, so what? They take pride in their cars just as much as you do about yours. As always, Rob
