I was out tuning my car adding additional timing to increase throttle response, mpg and performance. I heard a loud backfire and the engine ran like crap. I pulled over and was certain I chipped a piston(having added timing recently). The car didn't want to start, after putting it to the floor the car started and appeared to have a noise coming from the front cover. We assumed it was my timing chain. After spending 2 hrs to remove the front cover i realized my timing chain wasn't broken. I started pulling spark plugs and found this in cylinder number 2

So I decided I needed to pull out the engine

Before pulling the head i noticed this on above #2 on the rear head

I dropped a valve

I'm going to get an L26(more compression) and even though this sucks i've been wanting and L36 or L26 for some time now.
