This is my 71 Vega, I have had since 1978. Installed a Don Hardy kit in 78. Put in a 350 engine and trans out of a Z/28.I left the 13" tires on, tore up rear end. In 1980 I had it tubbed and started rebuilding a 331 small block. It has been in the car since spring 1981.
There were a lot of years that it sat in the garage because of lack of time or money. This is how it looks now.
I built my car after reading a Popular Hod Rodding magazine article on a car named SMO CUM. If you liked the V8 Vega swap it was one sweet ride. Grumpy Jenkins was the man !! Building the car has been a labor of love and an on going project over the years.
