Nothing to report yet.  There is still snow everywhere, and no new parts have been ordered.  I'm still looking into the C4 HD brakes though, and I'm planning on swapping the rear end again.  However, this time I'll put in a 4th gen 3.42 posi with the LS1 brakes.

The snow finally looks like it will be gone for good!! It is still hovering around 40*, but it doesn't look like it will be getting colder again!

Good news! I've been accepted to Milwaukee School of Engineering so I'll be going to school there next fall in hopes of becoming a Mechanical Engineer.  Bad news is that tuition is about $18,000 per year... I guess that's what you get when you are enrolled at one of the most prestigious engineering schools in the country.  This is making my list of plausible car mods shrink and my wish list grow immensely.

Due to these circumstances, I have decided to compromise and get the LS1 front brake setup.  I got two used calipers (but recently rebuilt) and one brand new caliper for $100 shipped, a set of practically new rotors for $50, new hubs and caliper abutment brackets for $100 shipped, and I'll be getting HAWK HPS pads from TireRack for $90 and an extra set of spindles from the local junkyard for $50.  The total should still be at around $400 when all the little things like grease is added in.

I have the pictures, but it wont let me post them...

I have also been spending my time at school designing a harness bar for my car.  No company makes a harness bar for the 3rd gen Camaro so I have to make a custom one.  I was hoping to have it thin enough that it slips behind the rear seat (so it looks stock) but it doesn’t look like that will be possible due to the lack of strength.  I'm probably just going to give in and make it from 1.5"x0.120 steel tubing.  At least I know it will be more then strong enough.  The only question is where the mounting points will be.

I have screenshots, but now it wont let me post them for some reason...

Nothing new... other then NITROUS!  I'll either be installing that or the front brake upgrade over Spring Break next week.  Yeah, Yeah... nitrous on a little 305?  It's better then nothing, and I can't imagine the little bit I'll be shooting into the motor will do much damage.  I'm only planning on something small like a 50 shot.

Great looking car for a young guy. Lots of luck w/ the Camaro. My first car after High School (1976) was a Camaro also. I have a pic of it on my 70 Chevelle page. Check it out. 5 stars!
