This is my 2002 Saab 9-3 SE Convertible. The engine is a 2.0 L Turbo HOT model; with 205 HP and 209 Ft-Lb torque stock. I got lucky finding this car, as it was almost winter in 2005 and the small, private dealership it was on couldn't keep the Vert through the winter as a money loss. I got her for $$$ less then bluebook; and drove off the lot a happy man. At the time she had 38,500 miles and was still under the factory warranty.
I have now upgraded the brakes to Stainless Steel lines, ATE powerslot rotors and EBC Redstuff pads. Man, what a difference in braking now! She stops on a dime and no brake fade anymore; I love the new feel. Also added are Polyurethane Engine mounts to sharpen up response and control; a huge difference there too.
Here it is cleaned and ready to roll; with the original Saab 17 inch rims. One of the best looking wheels made by Saab in my opinion.
I love how the curves of this wheel line up with the curves of the body line. Thes are 16X7.5 Sport Editions I picked up for my winter tire & wheel package.
A close up of the Saab wheel shape; it is really rather original in appearance. These are a little beat up unfortunately, so I plan to have them refinished in graphite/gunmetal in the spring before they go back on.
What better than a bright day and a drop top?
Check back, I'll be doing new brakes before the end of the year; and the rest of the mods start in the Spring.
