Your vw looks like a good solid foundation for a sick looking custom. I know you asked me this a while back and I appologize for just now getting back to you, but acid dipping is around $325 for the pan only and another $600-700 for the body and doors. Plan on spending around $1000 if this is the route you wanna go. Sand blasting is cheaper at about $500-600 for body and pan, but acid dipping has it's advantages over sand blasting. One thing is that acid dipping gets everything off, not just the stuff you can see. And acid dipping doesn't pitt the metal like sand can. No matter what you do, try to read up on both processes first before you throw down your hard earned cash. Let me know if you need any other info. thanks, james

What a great project! There is so much that can be done to those Beetles! Parts are easy to find, and not that badly priced either. I have a Dodge it has a few mods.
